Empire Salon is ours. The people who work here run their own businesses inside it, and Carla looks after the room, the schedule and the everyday experience of being here.
We are Carla and Brad, the owners of Empire Salon and the Hedden Empire Building.
In 2019, we took on the adventure of a lifetime, purchasing the historic Hedden Empire Building and embarking on a family renovation journey with our four children. At 66,000 square feet, it’s been no small project, but piece by piece, we’ve poured our hearts into breathing new life into this iconic space.
The salon became an opportunity to create a welcoming place for independent professionals and the clients who trust them. Carla manages the salon alongside her work as a veterinarian. Her focus at Empire is the people, the space and the everyday experience of being here.
Brad is a retired Army Apache helicopter officer who also works in finance. He supports the family businesses and the continuing restoration of the building.
Empire is part of our commitment to downtown Billings. We want it to be a place where professionals can do work they are proud of and clients feel welcome coming back.
