The building
Empire Building, 1929.
Terracotta ornament, high ceilings and the original bones, on the block that has been downtown Billings since the Model A was new. In 1929 our corner of it was a Piggly Wiggly, next door to Siegel’s Market. The salon takes its name from the building, and the building has never needed a theme.
