Meet Carla and Brad, Owners of the Empire Salon
In 2019, we took on the adventure of a lifetime, purchasing the historic Hedden Empire Building and embarking on a family renovation journey with our four children. At 66,000 square feet, it’s been no small project, but piece by piece, we’ve poured our hearts into breathing new life into this iconic space.
The salon came to life as an unexpected opportunity when the space became available, and it has since grown into one of the most rewarding parts of our journey. While neither of us are salon “people” by trade, we’ve embraced the opportunity to create a beautiful, peaceful space for our team and clients. Carla, a veterinarian with boundless energy and enthusiasm, manages the salon, ensuring its continued growth and success.
Brad, a retired Army Apache Helicopter officer, balances a career in finance with his dedication to family and our shared ventures. His steady support and commitment are at the heart of everything we do.
Married for 26 years, we deeply value love, teamwork, and the joy of building something meaningful together with our stylists and therapists. Empire Salon is more than just a business—it’s a reflection of our commitment to creating something extraordinary for our Downtown community.
